Welcome! Karibu!
Pathfinders is a voluntary club of youth from ages 10-15 years of age
with a trained adult councellor(s) for those who are in the fifth (5th) grade or its equivalent through the eighth (8th) grade.
5th and 6th graders are often referred to as "Junior" pathfinders, and 7th and 8th graders are often referred to as "Teen"

The Teen Leadership Training (TLT) program works closely with the Pathfinder
program and is for high school students (form 1-4).

opportunity to make a difference for young people, develop friendships with fellow staff, learn more about God's creation,
and improve their training skills. The pathfinder club was officially authorized bythe General Conference in 1950 and since
then has encircle the globe. It gives junior youth oppurtunities to accept responsibilities that leads to trust worthy
citizenship and steadfast church affiliation. It is very important for the church to augment the influence of home and
school in shaping the ideals, attitudes and character of the growing youth. The Pathfinder club does this through interpreting
christian ideals to junior youth in the setting of the activities that satisfy normal desires for the adventure and achievement. It
is run in a similar manner as a Boy Scout except that the Pathfinders, JesusChrist
is the first thing in everything.Pathfinders get involved in constructive activities such as Bible study, nature exploration, crafts, hobbies, camping, excursions, hikes, field
games etc.

Say....
..."I can meet new friends, go camping, earn AY (Adventist Youth) honors, enjoy fun activities, Pathfinders also gives
me new opportunities to talk about and know God."
Parents say...
"...I see Pathfinders as fulfilling an important purpose. The
outdoor activities provide recreation and education; the class work teaches self-discipline. Above all, Pathfindering gives
youth an environment in which to actively expand their personal experience with Christ. They understand sharing, caring, helping
others, and witnessing because they learned of the Master Pathfinder-JesusChrist."
